Benefits of Shaved Proxes R888s:

Shaving the Proxes R888 enables the tire to maintain a more consistent optimum operating temperature, thereby providing improved grip and faster lap times.

How does this work?  Heat dissipates throughout the tire faster when it's shaved because there's less rubber for the heat to travel through.  A shaved tire therefore runs cooler overall when compared to the same tire at full tread depth.  Once the tire reaches its optimum operating temperature, the temperature remains more consistent, thereby providing improved grip levels and handling capabilities.
