Rating Breakdown
Best tires I have experienced in over 67 years of driving. Great traction on icy highways and yet very good wear
Excellent traction on snowy and icy highways, yet long tread life. I am located in BC’s Cariboo where it is usually snowy and below freezing all winter.
Thanks for sharing "Brownie". BC's Cariboo region can certainly get some challenging conditions in the winter. Safe travels!
Completely Satisfied With Performance and Quality
Been using on my F150 Supercab 8 foot box. These aluminum trucks need good tires in winter due to their light weight, and these WLT1's perform just as well as the Eskay 10 ply studded winters I used to run. I run just over 200 KM of highway, then 70 KM of poorly maintained bush road every week to work, then a week of driving back and forth in mine on gravel, rock and mud and extreme winter conditions and so far these tires have not let me down or got me stuck. No stone drills, no flats and nice even tread wear. I cycle them 2 years as winter tires, then put those on my summer rims and get 2 more years out of them. They also handle well in summer towing my antique tractors at a gross weight of up to 12,000 pounds.
Thanks for the feedback ShawnF150
Very happy with these tires
Always had good life and service from Toyo M-55,s on all my pickups so thought I would try these WLT's on my GMC 3500 HD 4X4 last winter. Excellent performance and quiet. Wont go back to any other winter tire.
Thanks for the feedback "Normy B"!
Toyo WLT 1
Bought these for my F-150 as I do a lot of highway driving. They have been great tires so far had them on for 1 season, no issues, great traction and braking in the winter months.
Thanks for the feedback "Ish".
Best Tires I have owned
I drive a 2010 Ram 1500 with a boss plow on it, best tires I have had for plowing. I also run Toyo all season for summer. Fully recommended this tire,
5 winters and still going
5 winter seasons of use and they are still looking new. Only gripe I have is they are not studdable. Intersection polished ice would be nice to have the studs. Installed on 2017 Ram Mega cab DRW. Run from late October to end of March.
Thanks for sharing "Northern Geoff"!
number 1
I have 2018 f250 Crew cab, use to swear by goodyear duratract, these barrie them anytime any place wish i had bought them years ago! run cooper at3 in summer switch to these mid november! best combination! hope you all have same results!
Thanks for the feedback "JR". Have you looked into our Open Country A/T III https://www.toyotires.ca/tires/all-terrain-all-weather-light-truck-tire-open-country-iii or Open Country R/T Tires https://www.toyotires.ca/tires/onoff-road-rugged-terrain-tire-open-country-rt
Very Good Winter Performance
I have used this tire for two Canadian winters now on a 2500 truck with very good results. Quiet compared to my all season summer tires, handle ice and snow very well (even at high hwy speeds), side wall doesn't fold in cornering or trailering. It took a few km's to break-in but now drives straight without steering wooble. Suspect the mileage life will be poor, but they are winter tires with a softer compound and I buy tires for handling and driving security.
