Toyo Tires® Introduces new Toyo Proxes Sport 2 Max Performance summer tire
RICHMOND, BRITISH COLUMBIA – Toyo Tire Canada Inc. (Toyo Tires®) introduces the new Toyo® Proxes® Sport 2, a max performance summer tire designed for gas, hybrid, and electric sports cars, CUVs, and SUVs. This next-generation tire is engineered for spirited driving, offering precise handling and dependable grip. With innovative tread compounds, a refined tread design, and advanced casing construction, it maximizes wet and dry traction, while improving cornering stability and reducing stopping distance compared to its predecessor, the Proxes® Sport.
The new Proxes Sport 2 incorporates a redesigned profile shape to enhance cornering traction. New dual silica tread compounds on the inside and outside of the tire work harmoniously: the flexible inner compound adapts to varying road surfaces for optimal grip, while the more rigid outer compound resists deformation, boosting cornering performance. The asymmetric tread pattern combined with the dynamic taper design element ensures consistent contact with the road to maximize acceleration, braking, and cornering performance. When not pushed to the limits, these max performance summer tires offer a smooth and quiet ride. They also reduce rolling resistance, which helps improve your vehicles fuel efficiency.
The new Proxes Sport 2 tire will be produced in over 80 sizes with 17- to 22-inch wheel diameters in Y and (Y) speed ratings while carrying a 40,000-kilometer treadwear warranty and a 30-Day Trial Offer. The Proxes Sport 2 will be available starting in March 2025. From staggered fitments to tire and wheel upgrades, the wide array of Proxes Sport 2 sizes in 18” rim diameters and larger represent over 80% of the market and offer options for many vehicles. Popular fitments include the Audi SQ5, BMW M Models, Ford Mustang Dark Horse, Tesla Model X, and Toyota Supra GR.
