RICHMOND, BRITISH COLUMBIA – Staying true to their dedication to motorsports, Toyo Tire Canada Inc. announced today that it will continue their support of grassroots motorsports competitions in various markets across Canada. The sponsorship will include autocross, time attack and road racing competitions, giving drivers the opportunity to win contingency and product prizes.

Toyo Tires® is returning for the second straight year as the title sponsor of ASN Canada FIA’s Canadian National Autoslalom Championship. The annual competition will be held in Calgary this year, and attracts amateur autoslalom competitors from across Canada.

Returning for the ninth consecutive year as a sponsor, Toyo has also signed on with the official sanctioning body for motorsports in Ontario, the Canadian Automobile Sports Club Association – Ontario Region (CASC-OR). “I’m very pleased to see that Toyo is continuing their support of CASC-OR and grassroots motorsports” said CASC-OR VP Steven James Day. “Toyo’s tires such as the Proxes® R888 and R1R have proven very popular in competition.” A contingency program has been set up for the provincial autoslalom, time attack, GT Sprints, and GT Challenge series.

Toyo has also created new agreements with the Formula 1600 in Quebec, as well as the newly formed Spec Miata Championship in Atlantic Canada. The agreements make the Proxes R888 the official tire for both organizations.
